The Gift

Today you received a package in the mail.  It was a big box.  It was elaborately decorated.  Judging by the outside of the gift you could tell that the giver had spent an exhaustive amount of time in this project.  The wrapping paper was impeccably folded and taped as if the box was manufactured that way.  It’s ribbon adorned the color matching wrapping paper so perfectly until you have second thoughts about opening it.  But when you finally conclude to open this wonderfully wrapped present you find there is nothing in it.  My dears, a lot of us are like the sender of this gift.  We spend too much time on the outside and not enough time on what’s on the inside.
